I have always wanted to learn another foreign language. I took a year of German in high school and then a year of Spanish in college. I’ve always wanted to take Chinese lessons but since I have retained little of the other two languages I didn’t really want to invest the time or cash trying to learn yet another language that I would never use and ultimately lose. I believe if you don’t use it, you lose it. My niece just became an interpreter for the armed forces. She can speak eight languages fluently. I am totally jealous and proud at the same time. Recently, I heard about chinese lessons with printable (download first) flash cards, crossword puzzles and other learning tools. I thought this would be perfect because I could study at my leisure and repeat areas I was not sure I was understanding or grasping correctly. Best of all, Chinese lessons are free! That is right. Free. I can learn a language without spending a crapload of cash to do it. I think this sounds totally fun and exciting.

National Paramedic Institute
I dated a paramedic once. I have always admired the profession but it was never for me. Too much touching of other people. I don’t like that. Especially strangers. Ew. As such, I have a great admiration for those who can get past such petty issues and actually have the heart to do the job. I appreciate each and every one of them. What I was unaware of until I dated said paramedic, is that there is a National Paramedic Institute that educates First Responders, Paramedics and EMTs. They have an online training center and videos and lecture to listen too. If I knew anyone looking to get their CPR AED training I would totally send them to the National Paramedic Institute. I finished my bachelors degree online. Paramedcis/EMTs/First Responders can take interactive courses to learn how to recognize and provide care in a variety of instances. Seems like a no-brainer to me. Especially with a website as easy to navigate as the National Paramedic Institutes.

Buy.com - laptop memory. Who knew?
I have a lap top. So far, I have been afraid to use it for anything other than writing articles and web surfing. I haven’t downloaded anything to it yet. I really want too though. There are a couple games I have my eye on and I would love to rip my CDs to the laptop and then onto my MP3 player because it takes only a few minutes compared to the several minutes/half hours it takes on the home computer. However, I wasn’t sure if my laptop memory would get full like my home computer has. I’ve upgraded that memory twice. I wasn’t sure I could do the same for my laptop. Turns out I can so I can stop being a sissy sissy whiny pants and just do it!

Brazilian Sugar
I had no idea that Brazil was the largest sugar producing nation. In The World. I’m not sure why, but I didn’t think sugar came from Brazil and I certainly had no idea that it produced 20% of the worlds total sugar production. My mind finds that amazing. I was also surprised to learn ethanol is a product of sugar cane. Due to a myriad of factors including world growth, a large percentage of Brazil’s sugar crops have been dedicated to the production of ethanol that is then used in fuel for Brazilian automobiles. Sugar that is not dedicated to ethanol production is exported to many countries with the United States purchasing 20% of the crops, Argentina and China bringing up the rear along with Japan, France, South Korea and Italy to name a few. Generally, Brazilian sugar is supplied directly from the sugar mills. If you are interested in Brazilian Sugar Prices email info @ highseasugar.com.
