Phentermine

When I decided I needed to lose some weight, the first thing I thought was “I wish there was a magic pill that would melt the pounds away.” No such pill exists. However, there are some pills that do help in the effort when combined with proper diet and exercise. Phentermine is one such pill that was ranked 35 out of 200 by the ConsumerPriceWatch.net website. With the plethora off diet pills on the market right now it is hard to know which ones work and which don’t and what pill is better than another. ConsumerPriceWatch was created to review all the pills and give you, the reader, the information you need to make an informed decision. Don’t let the body of your dreams stay in your dreams. Get informed and do something about it.

Plastic Surgery - one woman's view

Many people have differing views on plastic surgery. Some would say it is wrong because it is vain and self satisfying and some might say they have regrets. Others would say they cannot live without it, they wouldn’t be the same and/or they are glad they did it. I would be in that latter category. I have gone under the knife and it was not to repair a defect or for any medical reason. I had a Breast Enlargement because I wanted too.

I have been ashamed of my breast size (or lack thereof) since my teenage years. While other girls were developing and growing bumps, I had what resembled a fried egg. With the yolk broke. By the time I was a senior in high school, I had done every exercise invented in a failed effort to develop something resembling a curvy chest. My brothers teased me to the point of tears. My step dad made crude and vulgar comments. He used to tell me things like I was a pirate’s dream because I had a sunken chest or a carpenter’s dream because I was flat as a board. I tried not to let it bother me but it did. To the point that I took the shoulder pads from one of my mom’s old suits and sewed them into my bra so it would look like I had something there.

Fast forward many years. I was in my 30s. Having children had the opposite effect on my breasts as I hoped it would. Rather than increase their size, they were now a softer, smushier size As. After my second child, my left breast all but disappeared. It actually shrunk in size. I was not taking it very well and I had said for years that once I was done having children, I was going to do it. So, I saved and saved and when my youngest child was three years old, I did it. I had breast implants. I didn’t go huge. I am a regular D cup now. This fits my body shape and size. My clothes fit better. My body seems to be in proportion on its 5’6” frame. I carry myself better and surprisingly, my posture is better. I truly believe that if I had not been the receiver of such negative, hurtful, and crude comments, I may have had a different view of myself and would certainly not have seen myself as inadequate.

While I do not advocate plastic surgery to fix every minor flaw on sees in themselves, I do believe that it has a place in society and can be helpful in certain situations. Would I purchase breasts for my daughters? I am not sure. I hope to foster in them something I was robbed of which is a good sense of themselves and a feeling of comfort in their own skin. If the day came that they approached me on the subject, I will be honest and I will support their decision, as long as they aren’t trying to get some incredibly large, freakish breast size so they can appear on some sleazy talk show. Then I may have to say something.

Body Building Factory

When I first met Mr. Right, he was a guy who worked out every day and was taking some type of weight gainer product. He was a tall and lanky man and regardless of what he did, he couldn’t get past the 165 lbs mark. Which is thin if you are 6’2”. We have never really been in the market for legal steroids but if we were, I know where we would go. Body Building Factory dot com has a whole slew of products aimed and building muscle mass and developing your ideal physique. They offer cheap prices and ship directly to your door, including military PO Boxes.

Clinical Laboratory Service

Did you know that people who work in clinical laboratory service are the ones who help to detect and diagnose and even treat illnesses and disease? They can even help create new drugs. I like the idea of working in a scientific field and I have always enjoyed the science and medical field, yet I am not a people touchy feely kind of person. In fact, I would prefer to not have to interact with patients at all. Maybe I have a career in drug development?

Tired

I am very tired this week. I don't know why, but I am more tired than normal. Last night I went to bed at 11:30 and the night before, I went to bed at 9:45! I haven't been to bed that early since I was pregnant and had a toddler to contend with.

Recently, I've been exercising and taking vitamin B to help. So far, I notice I am not comatose driving home so it must be helping a little. The problem I have is that sometimes, I cannot sleep, so I'm afraid if I take something, perhaps it will keep me up all night. Which is fine, becuase I'm functional when this happens, but when I finally crash, I crash hard.

What do you do to stay awake during the day?

Owie

I don't feel very good. I have a headache. Not a migraine, yet. Just an allergy headache. My ears hurt and my forehead hurts and well, to be honest, my face hurts. I know, I know, 'It's killin _____.'

Hardy har har. I used to say that a lot but after the millionth time of one of my brothers saying "it's killin me" I learned to change my words.

Stupid brothers anyway.

I have taken everything I can take to ease the pain but until the pressure eases, I'll be blogging about nuthin. Enjoy.

Acnexus

I have suffered my fair share of acne during my life. There is nothing worse than a big date and a big zit to tag along. Even worse is a smattering of blackheads when all you want is clear skin before the summer beach parties begin. This is the point where we start checking into herbal acne treatment because what we don’t want is to suffer anymore.

Allergies

I've had allergies for as long as I can remember. However, I only used to have them to dust and find dirt. Pets didn't bother me. Plant life didn't bother me. Being outside didn't bother me. Then I moved to Arizona. EVERYTHING that blooms here makes me sneeze, stuffy and snotty.

I have tried Benadryl. I have tried Claretin. Lately, I've been trying Zyrtec. However, even though April is my worst month, this round seems to be the worst one so far. I am living on a cocktail of Zyrtec in the morning, Sudafed around 3:00 p.m. and then a Benadryl at night.

Why couldn't I have been born rich? They never get allergies. Right?

Food is not my friend

Don't get me wrong. I love food. Especially food like Lays Potato Chips, guacamole and corn chips, coca-cola, and cheese. However, I have to be careful what I eat because I am trying to lose weight. Additionally, lately, after I eat, I become exhausted. Literally. If I sit on the couch after dinner, I promptly fall fast asleep. If I have a big lunch, it is all I can do to keep my eyes open at work.

I don't think this is normal. Is it?

Fibromalgia and all that comes with it

What do you know about fibromyalgia and its symptoms? Did you know fibromyalgia symptoms are chronic, widespread pain and tenderness to light touch, stiffness and may or may not involve moderate to severe fatigue? Did you know that more women suffer from this disease than men? Did you know there are medicines (natural and pharmaceutical) that you can take to ease the symptoms? If not, you should check out ultrapms.com.

Air Purifiers

I cannot breathe at home. I have had severe allergies since I’ve moved to the desert three years ago. Lately however, I have been seriously considering purchasing an Atlas Air Purifier for my home. Among the various local plant life that is trying to kill me, I am also allergic to dust and pet dander. I have a house full of dust and I own four dogs which means plenty o’ dander to be found around my place. However, I wasn’t sure what purifier to get. There are so many to choose from.

There is the electronic, Electrostatic Tower which is 17” tall and 6” in diameter and will purify the air in a 500 square feet area. This purifier is quiet and sleek and uses very little power. You have to clan it approximately every three weeks and it does not require filters. You just wash the blades clean and it comes with a one year warranty. However, the newest 2007 model, the Altas HEPA covers nearly 3500 square feet and has a three year warranty. It will remove 99/7% of particles from the air and is 12.5” by 8.25” by 9.10” and weighs 16 pounds!

Dual Action Cleanse

I have heard in the past that every body (pun intended!) needs a good cleansing. Colon cleansing will help to eliminate the toxins that have built up in your digestive system. Picture if you will a pipe under your bathroom sink. After a few years, there is all sorts of gunk clinging to the sides of the pipe until one day it becomes clogged and you need to clean it out. I think the same idea is behind a colon cleansing. There are many good Herbal Cleanser products available but it is important to get a good one that does what it claims to do, like Dual Action Cleanse.

Edrugstore - only name brands

When I need to fill a prescription, I usually shop around for the best price, especially since I do not have insurance. I am always looking for the cheapest place to get what I need. I also want something that is convenient for me. That usually means I’ve browsed the internet and found a good place. Additionally, whenever we get a new prescription that we have not used before, I will do a little internet research on the drug, the side effects, and what the common uses for that particular drug are. I feel that it is my job to be informed as a consumer. What I like about Edrugstore.com is that they have an “ask a physician” page where you can click links on topics such as weight loss, sexual heal, skin health and even men and women’s health. They also have a number of health articles to read. When my husband wanted to ask his physician about Viagra, I hopped on the internet and did a little research. Did you know you can buy Viagra online and save yourself (or your spouse) the embarrassment of filling the prescription with your local pharmacist? Edrugstore is an established company with a web presence and not some fly by night ‘get your drugs real cheap’ type of place. They do not sell generic drugs and still have the guaranteed lowest prices on the net.

Energy Anyone?

Lately, the older I get, the more I wish I could find a little pill that would make me happy and energetic and feel like doing something. Anything. Instead, I generally sit on the couch, flipping through the channels and wishing I had the energy to get up and move around. Imagine, if I had energy pills I could totally clean my house, stay awake during a movie, not doze off while I’m studying for the LSAT and maybe, if I’m lucky, I would lose some weight in the process.

And Another Thing that Bites

I have to remove all my piercings and jewelry for the surgery tomorrow.

Fine. Except. I cannot get my wedding ring or my ring my sister gave me off. I'm too fat.

I've tried cold water, soap, oil, nothing.

Quite frankly, it is embarrassing. Who knew that an extra couple pounds here and there would lead to this? Lead to fingers too fat to remove jewelry? Extra chins appearing? A stomach that looks four months pregnant? An ass that will require its own zip code before long.

Arrg. I'm cranky.

Surgery Tomorrow

I cannot have anything to eat or drink after midnight tomorrow.

Do you know what this is doing to my psyche? I am craving things like Lays potato chips. Donuts. Cokes and chocolate milk.

I am not hungry. I am not thirsty.

I think I want them because I know in an hour, they are completely off limits.

And do you know what sucks the most? My surgery isn't until ONE PfreakinM. I'll be starving to death and probably get sick from not eating at all. I'm so hosed.

Stuff that Bites

Spiders. Snakes. Dogs.

Seriously.

I have a Twitter account, and I like the idea of microblogging although I cannot remember to do it and I haven't quite got the hang of it just yet. However, my platform (blogger) doesn't have a widget so I cannot post my tweets here on the blog. I think that bites.

I want something that will update Twitter when I update here too. That would be awesome! However, since I know of no such thing, that bites.

And another thing that bites, I've had this domain forEVER and it still won't forward to stellasblog.com without the www in front. I've asked Blogger and I've asked GoDaddy and I've followed all the suggestions and nothing works. I think that bites.

I'm having surgery tomorrow. Nothing major (allegedly) but they have to put me under so I need a ride home and I'll be all groggy and stuff. The last surgery I had the anesthesia made me sick as hell and I slept for like 18 hours. I think that bites.
