Online guitar tuner
Now that Christmas is coming, it is time to start looking at gifts and such for friends and family. My daughter recently expressed an interest in guitar lessons. I spoke with my nephew, who taught himself to play guitar by ear, and he hooked me up with the basics for my daughter. Then I started looking around and I found a few other things she will need like music books and guitar picks. Then I found a site with an online guitar tuner so I can’t imagine she won’t be set up perfectly for beautiful music.

Cubby Storage Saved My House
Ever since my children were small I have struggled with keeping their stuff organized while still accessible to them. At first we had a basket in the living room where the kids’ toys were when they were just toddlers. Then as they got bigger, their toys got bigger and it was harder to maintain a play space for them in the common areas of the house. That is when I first looked into cubby storage. What I found is that as my kids grow, so does the cubby storage.
My fourteen year old has only three cubbies left. She has moved them into her bedroom and uses them for random things like shoes; hair appliances (curling irons, blow dryer, straightener, etc.) and the third is a catch all for stuff like pens, sticky notes, small notebooks and the like.
My twelve year old on the other hand, she still has a full wall of cubby storage. I think she has fifteen cubby holes with seven or eight baskets. She has designed her cubby storage as a book case; knick-knack holders; clothes bins (her jeans are all in the cubby now instead of a drawer; and I think she has two cubbies that are just catch all for loose papers and old homework. She uses her cubby baskets for things like art stuff; her bead collection; swimsuits (we live in Arizona and to a teenager that means one must own several swimsuits, not just one); flip flops (again with the several pairs).
Anyway, if I had a point in all this rambling it would be that cubby storage has worked well for my family for nearly thirteen years. It grows with my kids and helps keep our busy family organized.

Sleepwear and fuzzy socks
The holidays are coming up and it is tradition in our house, ever since the kids were small, that they get to open one present on Christmas Eve and that present always contains new sleepwear, new slippers and a stuffed animal of some kind. My daughters are now almost grown at 20, and quickly getting grown up at 14 and 12 years old and they still look forward to the Christmas Eve present every year. My 20 year old asked if she could bring a present for her fiancé to open Christmas Eve too. If I was a betting woman, I’d say he’s getting a new pair of pajamas and some fuzzy socks.
There is something to be said for tradition and making memories. I’m glad that this is one tradition my daughters will pass on to their own children (if they ever have any. Which I hope is a long, long, long time away!) My mom did not do much by way of holiday tradition so it is even more important to my husband and I that we teach our children the importance of tradition and values and making memories. Even if it does come by way of new sleepwear once a year.

Romantic Gifts Anyone?
If you’re anything like me, you enjoy getting your spouse or significant other some special, even dare I say romantic, gift during the holiday season. I like to get my husband a thing or two that I give him during the weeks leading up to his birthday, our anniversary and Christmas. I think it is fun and I enjoy doing it. The gifts are fairly inexpensive and more along the line of trinkets rather than full on gifts, but they remind him that I love him and want to spend the rest of my life with him. If you like to get that special person in your life romantic gifts too, then click here and start shopping!

ATV = Christmas gift!
I’m seriously considering getting my husband an ATV for Christmas. He has wanted one for years but when we moved to Arizona, he quit hunting and that was the main reason he wanted one. Well, we’ve lived here long enough now that he’s made friends and found some neighbors who bow hunt also so he is going on a hunt with a few of them to test the waters so to speak. If all goes well, I’m buying him an ATV for Christmas. Then of course I’ll end up getting him lots of cool ATV Parts to help him out. Like load racks, a bow rack, a winch if it doesn’t come with one. All of the many parts he has seen on other ATVs that make him want one even more. Of course, I’ll benefit too. I can drive it down to the mailbox on really hot days. It should shave a good three minutes off my walk!

Quality Assurance Direct Jobs
The healthcare industry in Phoenix is much larger than what I was used to (when I lived in Utah). I was surprised when we got to Arizona just how many hospitals and facilities there really were. Then when I was feeling dissatisfied with my job, I considered something in the healthcare field. Except I have that whole aversion to touching people (it kinda skeeves me out). So I stayed a paralegal. I have been looking though at jobs lately for positions such as Quality Assurance Director Jobs and they are appealing. I’m not going to lie.
Merchant funding
I work for what could technically be considered a small business. We have two offices and a total of ten employees, including the boss, whose name is on the door. We also have times when we utilize a merchant funding account, in our case, it is a line of credit. However, in these economic times, I don’t know how we would keep the doors open if it were not for the loyal customers we have and the ability to use our line of credit when we need too.
I wish I had a personal line….

Wedding Bands aren't just for weddings
I like rings. I’ve have more rings than I do fingers to wear them - which makes me sad on most days because it’s hard to decide which ring to wear on any given day. I love them all equally! I recently bought another ring, even though I didn’t need it. I wanted it. And that makes it totally okay. Unless you ask my husband. He doesn’t think it was okay because he totally does not understand. At all. When we were talking marriage all those years ago, we looked at so many rings he finally gave up. I really had my heart set on a set of Celtic wedding bands but he had some other idea of what our rings should look like.
So I did what any woman with legitimate wants and needs does. I am thinking about a set of Celtic wedding bands for Christmas this year. Oh yes I am! They’re very simple and understated and I don’t think we have to wear them in place of our existing wedding rings, I think they’ll complement our existing set just perfectly. I could spend lots of money this year buying new rings for all of us. I need at least two more. And our daughters (we have three) they all need a new one too. With a matching necklace I’m thinking…
