Sucking me dry
Have I told you lately that school is sucking my life dry. Completely dry. Like the barren wasteland of the middle of nowhere desert, dry?
No.
Well, that's what it is like being a law school student.
Now you know.
No.
Well, that's what it is like being a law school student.
Now you know.

Motorcycle Consols
I have a GPS system in my car. I don’t use it every day, but I use it often enough that I would miss it if it were gone. I could not imagine being in an unfamiliar place and not having my system to rely upon. I also could not imagine being distracted or trying to look for an address or particular exit, while also watching so closely the traffic around me. I imagine that is why I thought it was so brilliant that there was a motorcycle console available. Motorcycle riders have to be very careful due to the very nature of their vehicle, and the fact that often times people do not see or pay attention to motorcycles, having a system navigate the upcoming turns or exits seemed invaluable to me.
Medical Terminology and Stuff
Even though I’ve been a paralegal for too many years to count, and even though I have summarized my fair share of medical records, I still do not know a lot about medical terminology and the abbreviations used. However, I do know what an ecg is and why one would be necessary. I won’t got into all the gory details, but suffice it to say, it can be a routine test, or the indication of something far more serious.

It's never to early to take care of yourself
I may have mentioned this before, but I have three daughters: 21, 14 and 12. They're all very much girly girls (I'm not quite sure how that happened because I am NOT a girly girl at all). Regardless, they require much when it comes to beauty aids like lotion, perfume, makeup, etc. They are also ritualistic in their use of facial masks. Every Friday night, the two youngest, because big sis doesn't live here anymore, they do a face mask and paint toes night. They do their thing in the kitchen and I am just very glad they're doing their thing a) with each other; and b) at home where I can see them.

Me
sometimes I need to remind myself to believe in me. To believe that I am strong. I can do it. I will make it through. The end will be so totally worth it.
It's not always easy and I struggle with it sometimes. But I am starting to Believe.

Life Insurance - are you prepared?
I start law school in five days. I can hardly believe it myself. However, now that there are mere days until I begin this new chapter of my life, I have been giving due consideration to other chapters of my life. Areas like are my bills paid? Have I got myself organized enough to balance school and being mom and wife. I also made sure, since my commute just doubled, that I have enough insurance in place should something horrible happen. I am still young enough that I qualify for decent rates on life insurance, however, I know there are others who need a product that offers life insurance no exam like my mother, who is old and cranky and has not taken care of herself for-ever.
