Search for side effects and reactions. Always

As I was saying earlier, one should really check into the side effects and any possible reactions a supplement may cause before taking said supplement. I had at one time considered taking a fat burning supplement but then changed my mind because I tried a supplement that allegedly reduced stress and thereby reduced belly fat (and that was precisely the problem I was having – stress eating causing belly fat) so I saw results and started telling friends and one girl started to take the same supplement only she had a spike in blood pressure and blinding migraines. Oops. So do your homework before you ever take anything, over the counter or not, especially when you can find sits that allow searching for such things as lipozene side effects.

I need to read more

I was recently reading about some supplements available to help kick start my metabolism. I know that sleep and eating right is the best thing for me, but I’ve been severely lacking in that department lately and as such, with so much work and sitting at my desk or in meetings, my metabolism is taking what appears to be a short leave of absence. Anyway, I was looking into supplements that would help keep me going while I’m in this busy time and then I started reading fenphedrine reviews and I’ll be honest, I didn’t even know there was such a product, let alone that it was available over the counter.

It's True Love

Especially considering my 15 year anniversary is this Wednesday.

Me: Did you know the average duration of marriage in the United States is just over nine years?

Him: So we are done next year then?

Me: No. We?ve passed the nine year mark already. I officially own you.

Him: Yea. Well, we don?t want to over do it.

Me: Too late. We?ve already over done it. We can?t go backwards.

Him: Hmm.

Me: Plus, the divorce rate has gone down.

Him: Because the murder rate has gone up.

Do your homework

I make fun of those commercials I see on the television for male enhancement issues and libido boosters. I don’t understand what two people, lying in separate bathtubs, in the middle of a field of flowers and weeds have to do with sexual relations. But that’s just me I suppose. What I do not make fun of however are the claims that some products make about how safe they may or may not be. In fact, one should always check into the side effects and or any reactions that any supplement may have or cause with another supplement or medication that a person may be taking. The information is easy enough to find just look for websites that explain things like Extenze side effects and the like.

Weight Loss Isn't Easy for Everyone

When I was really trying to lose weight a couple years ago, I read anything and everything I could get my hands on to make what I thought would be a grueling task easier. I read the top 10 weight loss tips and about every possible supplement that might give me the slightest chance of losing the weight even faster. What it all came down to was portion control and getting my butt off the couch (or in my case, the computer chair). I’m down nearly 60 pounds now and I could not be happier with myself. I’d like to lose another 10 or 15 pounds, but I’m doing okay and maintaining my weight loss on year two, so I’m not really pushing myself.

Printing direct for less $$

I have a ticket to attend a blog conference in August of this year. I’m still debating because I start law school the week after the conference so I’m really questioning whether or not I will be able to devote as much time to blogging once I’m a full time student again. That of course did not stop me from ordering new business cards showing all my blog addresses and the various niches I write in. It was very cheap to order because I used a service allowing one to print direct for less and the only real problem I see will be if I do not go to the conference. What the heck and I going to do with 500 business cards that have my name, email and blog addresses on them? Oy.

Gifts for Mom, even if it isn't Mother's Day

I know it is a little late to be posting about personalized mothers day jewelry but really, it is never too late to buy your mom some nice jewelry. Or anything nice for that matter. It does not have to be Mother’s Day to buy your mom a nice gift. In fact, as a mother myself, I can say with some certainty that she would enjoy a gift no matter what time of year it is, even if the gift does carry with it a mother’s day feel.

Persol Sunglasses are Pretty

My husband goes through sunglasses like kids go through clean clothes. He loses them. He sits on them. He leaves them on the hood of the car and drives away. To say he is hard on sunglasses would be an incredible understatement. I however have had the same pair of sunglasses for about three years. I would like a new pair but I just can’t decide on a style I can commit to and of course, I want a decent pair that will last. I’ve been looking at Persol sunglasses but I just can’t decide.

Hot Tubs Need Covered. Period. Trust Me.

Now that I live in the scorching desert I have a pool. When we lived in Utah we had a hot tub. There is no real need for a hot tub in the scorching desert. However, if you have a hot tub the one thing you do need are good hot tub spa covers because spas and hot tubs, in my experience, are harder to keep clean than the pool is. We forgot to cover the hot tub once in Utah. After spending a good two hours getting out several hundred leaves and twigs and other debris from a late night dust (and other yard garbage) storm, we learned to keep it covered when not in use. No exceptions!

The Amazing Race has won eight Emmy Awards for a reason.

I love watching The Amazing Race every weekend. The show starts off with several teams of two from a different point in America every season. When the host, Phil Keoghen, says go, the contestants begin a race around the world. The race is made up of several legs that are usually in a new country every week. Each week, when the remaining contestants land in a new country, they have to complete different entertaining task before they can go on to the pit stop. The last one to arrive is eliminated from the race. Those who make it in time are forced to rest for 12 hours before going on. In some ways, the show seems to rig the race, to try to keep any team from pulling to far ahead of the others. It do! es keep the show entertaining though, since no team is usually more than a few hours ahead of the others. I tend to like the smart players. I love to watch to teams who physically are underdogs beat the other teams, because they know the language or did research the night before at a pit stop. I also like this show, because unlike most reality shows, it is not based on voting and backstabbing. The Amazing Race is based on skill and a little luck. I truly enjoy sitting down on a Sunday night to watch The Amazing Race on my satellite TV from bestchoicetv.com.

Addiction is a serious problem

I know a woman who has a chronic illness, obsessive-compulsive disorder and anxiety. My professional opinion is that her parents are enablers and her behavior is hugely rewarded which in turn creates more problems than not. She has been on a combination of mediation and self-medicating with alcohol for a few years now. Recently her doctors put her on Valium to help with her anxiety however, he continues to self-medicate. I have no doubts that within the next three years, she ends up in some type of benzodiazepines detox addiction treatment and that would be the best thing that could happen to that family.

San Diego is calling me

So I’m debating a move. The husband has wanted to live in California for years. I however, have not. That is until I took a little vacation and decided I’d found my future home in Coronado, California. Seriously. I started looking for San Diego jobs and I could make a really nice living there. A really nice living. Of course, I can’t quite afford that beach front property just yet. But I’m working on a plan….

Body Stockings...

I am no stranger to lingerie, I have many pieces, some tight, some loose, and some in between. However, the one thing I don’t own, yet, is a body stockings because I just can’t figure out where or when, or how for that matter, that I would pull it off. My husband would probably like it. But I am torn. I just cannot decide. Maybe I should start with a basic and wear it under a dress or something. To get the feel for it. Maybe.

Franchise - supplemental income?

I have been thinking lately that when I’m a little older, I may look into purchasing, or buying into, a franchise of some sort. I’d stay away from food places, because those seem to come and go unless it’s a greasy fast food joint and if I wouldn’t eat there, I have no business making money from it. I have considered though the idea of a franchise to supplement my retirement income.

Scanning Software Can Save Your Documents

Way back in the day I had no real use for scanning software because I was young and did not really know any better. Sadly however, for me, would be that I lost some very important documents that I would not have lost had I scanned them and saved them on a hard drive somewhere. Live and learn is what I tell my kids. But you shouldn’t learn by losing your important documents or photographs. Get yourself some decent scanning software and save your documents. Don’t thank me. I live to serve.

Hip Hop Clothes

I have always enjoyed hip hop music and dance. I have never, however, wanted to fashion any kind of wardrobe out of hip hop clothes or lots of bling. I understand however, that these clothing statements do appeal to some people, some teenagers and 20somethings in fact. So I don’t begrudge them for wearing the fashion and bling. Just so long as they pull their pants up to their waist. Because seeing someone’s drawers will never be a positive fashion statement. Just sayin.

Before I worked for lawyers I was a cocktail waitress, a Chinese food restaurant waitress and I worked for a convenience store for five years.

I was recently in the market for some flowers to be delivered for a special occasion. I tried a couple local florists but I just was not very happy with their selections. Then I started considering Mobile florists and I wondered if their product really was worth the ease when you don’t actually get to see the flowers before they’re delivered. I bit my tongue and ordered away. I’m not sorry. And neither was my daughter! Now I will use mobile florists anytime I want flowers delivered. It was so quick and painless. If only grocery shopping was this easy!

What is the Best Fat Burner?

I have hit another plateau on my weight loss journey. I’m down still 50ish lbs and I keep seeing commercials for products that claim to be the best fat burner on the market and boy howdy can I just tell you, I am TEMPTED. Seriously. I only want to lose another ten to fifteen pounds and the thought of using a product to help me get there, it is appealing. Very appealing. Instead, I’m upping my time on the treadmill. Because I figure that ain’t gonna hurt either!

Hormonal Acne

My daughter is 14 this year. She has been having more frequent and more severe acne breakouts lately. I know that it has something to do with her hormones. In fact, I thought it would be wise if we did some research and attempted to learn more about hormonal acne so as to better handle both her breakouts, but also her mood swings when she finds a new pimple or zit. So far, so good!

Now that's funny!

The kids got their National Geographic Kids magazine this month. Ms. Sarcastica came running into the kitchen, out of breath, excited to tell me a new joke:

Why did the chicken cross the road, roll in the dirt, then cross the road again?

Because he was a dirty double crosser.

The moment must have been just right because I laughed and laughed at that one.
