Kids are funny
Recently I told my kids that I would take them to see the newest movie in the Twilight Saga. I cannot tell you how much I am NOT excited to do this, but, because I am a good mom, it's not always about me. I've been teasing my kids, because they're 13 and 11 and are all about Team Edward, that the reason I just don't like his is because he sparkles.
The 11 year old gets cranky when I say it and corrects me "no mom, he DAZZLES"
As if there's a difference!

online coupons
Recently I have been printing coupons off the internet to save some money at the grocery store. There are a couple different sites that have several coupons and there is also a site where you can download coupons to your store card. What I have also found it saves me money to use the online coupons from the online stores directly and from other sites that cater to online stores, such as using vitacost coupons from the ebillme.com site directly. It saves quite a bit of money because I can get all the stuff I need, without going to separate stores and spending the gas money and time to shop all around town.
Portable Oxygen that's light weight
My mother in law uses an oxygen machine when she sleeps. She also needs it to travel from the valley of Arizona to any high altitude, such as the Grand Canyon or even into Utah and Colorado. The problem she has encountered is that the small, portable oxygen tanks are so heavy and bulky, she would rather not use them at all, which does not help her cause any. One day I saw a link for the inogen oxygen concentrator and I told her about it. It is small, portable, weighs only seven pounds. I’m not sure whether she has looked at them yet, but if anyone else had to use portable oxygen, I’d say check it out. It can’t hurt, right?
Diet and Weight Loss
The thing that kills me about dieting and losing weight is that people always want that magic quickie pill to make the pounds melt off like butter on a hot day. The problem with that is that the pounds won’t stay off. That does not mean that pills will not work, or that they cannot jump start a person’s weight loss program, it just means that if a person were to say, buy apidexin, and expect that to the be only thing they need to do, take a pill, and the weight will magically melt off, and that they can stop taking the pill and the weight will stay away, they are sadly mistaken. Because even with pills, people need to make lifestyle changes. Personally, I cut out fried foods and soda. Soda was hard too! It was like taking away air. But I made several lifestyle changes and now, it will be 9 months since I started losing weight, and I am down over 40 pounds.
The upside to a yard that is done...
We spend a lot more time in it. And, the dogs don't bring in all that dust and dirt.
And there is a sitting area where I can see all my pretty trees and plants and flowers now.
And I can sit outside (because my husband believes the house should be arctic during the summer) and thaw my feet and fingers while I do my homework and the kids play in the pool.
Life. Is. Good.

I just want a couple more things for the yard...like a fireplace
Speaking of backyards that are done and NO LONGER UNDER CONSTRUCTION (uh-hum)…I really wish we had been able to put in a fire pit or even better, an outdoor fireplace on the wall where the sitting area is. I will get better pictures up later, but suffice it to say: I love my new backyard! I will love it even more when I have an in the ground swimming pool instead of the Grey Beast that lives there now; and more importantly, when I have fire IN MY BACK YARD.
Yes, my wants and needs are simple.

Oxis
If there was a place where I could hook myself up with some anti aging products, I’d do it. If I could get some antioxidant that made me feel 100% all the time, I’d do it. If I knew what glutathione, penny stocks and free radical meant, I’d explain it. Since I don’t, I introduce you to:
Oxis Website
Oxis on Twitter
Oxis on Facebook
According to the Oxis.com website, Oxis deals in “oxidative stress technology.” Sounds good to me!

Status Quo
The one thing I fear the most of all right now, is gaining back all the weight I just loss. It has taken me nine months to lose 40 pounds. I would be lying if I said I didn’t try a couple diet aids in the process. I tried Green Tea and cayenne pepper, vitamin B combinations, and some good old fashioned hard work. Mostly however, I cut back on portions and increased my physical activity. Not to say that a product such as Lipovox would not benefit me somewhere down the road, but for now, I’m plugging away on my own. If I feel myself begin gaining weight or becoming sedentary again, then I will check my options. But for now, it’s status quo.
I want one!
Ya know what I could have used during at least three separate phases of my life? A receipt printer and what would have been ever better would have been a portable one! Of course, back when I needed it, during the days of towing vehicles, repossessing cars, and mobile medical sales, there was no such thing as wireless internet or the like. We did things the old fashioned way, paper, pen and carbon slider. Oy!
Rapid Detox
At first I did not know what rapid detox was. Then I did some poking around and reading up on it. Rapid detox, if one is familiar with detoxification at all, is exactly what it sounds like: the rapid removal of toxic substance from one’s system (think drugs here, heroin, Darvon, Codeine, Oxycontin, etc), as well really as any other opiate drug that needs to be purged from your system. The upside, in my opinion, is that the rapid detoxification of these substances is helpful to the addict, because getting past the initial withdrawal is the hardest part on the road to recovery. If that withdrawal could be completed in a medical setting, quickly, then it helps the person’s recovery. Some rapid detox facilities only treat the physical aspects of addition and not the mental side, however, both working together gives the addict a much better chance at success rather than relapse.

Oops
So I logged on tonight to post a memorial for tomorrow and do a couple other things and apparently, the last time I was playing here, I may have broke my blog. It seems I had something like 25 un-posted posts sitting basically in que. Sorry I blew up your feeds!

Just so you know
Regardless of what anyone may tell you, Oatmeal cookies with raisins and walnuts are a healthy, well balanced lunch.
I just got fruit, grains and protein in one shot. And, you'll never believe this, but WATER is the main ingredient in my Diet Dr. Pepper! SCORE!

Stress Management
Just in case you are having a rough day, here is a stress management technique recommended in all the latest psychological journals. The funny thing is that it really does work and will make you smile.Author unknown
1. Picture yourself lying on your belly on a warm rock that hangs out over a crystal clear stream.
2. Picture yourself with both your hands dangling in the cool running water.
3. Birds are sweetly singing in the cool mountain air.
4. No one knows your secret place.
5. You are in total seclusion from that hectic place called the world.
6. The soothing sound of a gentle water fall fills the air with a cascade of serenity.
7. The water is so crystal clear that you can easily make out the face of the person you are holding underwater.
There!! See? It really does work. You’re smiling already
