Now that it is getting colder outside and as the holidays approach the more mind seems to wander to what it might be like to convince my kids to forgo Christmas gifts this year in lieu of something like a Branson Missouri vacation that would create years worth of memories versus the hours worth of mindless waste that perhaps video games or some other gift might bring. Rather than gifts that are "in" today, a family vacation over the holidays would give a lifetime of memories. Not to mention perhaps the creation of a family tradition of travel over the holidays every other year.
