My daughter is a CNA. She has to wear nursing uniform scrubs or nursing uniforms scrubs when she works. She does complain however that scrubs are possibly the most unflattering uniform she's ever had to wear. I disagreed and asked if she had ever seen the uniform the Astros used to wear (unflattering at best) or the old fashioned fast food uniforms made of polyester? ICK.
While she and I both agree that medical scrubs are at least comfortable and easy to work in, they do leave much to be desired as far as looking fashionable or even different from the people one works with. What I appreciate is that there appears to be some variation between scrubs, from neutral colors to designs that are not all for the entertainment of small children.
I have seen a few stores in our town that are dedicated to the sale of scrubs, and even some of our local department stores have started carrying a small selection, I recently found scrub stores online so my daughter's shopping selection is larger than it was before. And since scrub sizes don't really vary, I can get her uniforms and she doesn't have to be there to try them on. When you wear a uniform five days a week, variety is your friend. Now, uniforms can be a surprise from me.
