Online Schooling
Speaking of schooling. Did I tell you that I have obtained most of my undergrad and graduate school online? It was really the best fit for me. I do not see anything wrong with Online Schooling in fact, in some cases, I believe that I honestly learned more taking a class online than I may have taking an on campus class. For instance, I took all three algebra classes, beginner, intermediate and college algebra online and I pulled one B (beginner no less!) and two As. I don’t believe that I would have gotten nearly as good a grade, nor would I have retained as much information had I taken those classes on campus. There are so many distractions that come with an on campus class, and while I agree a good argument can be made for distractions at home that may keep a student from concentrating, I honestly believe that dedicated online students take the classes more seriously and I dare say are more driven to complete the work with a grade that means something to them. They are not simply attending class because they are supposed to be or because someone is telling them too. And, I would throw out there as food for thought, perhaps some of the high school and college age kids who don’t really acclimate to school or have social issues may fare better in an online class and obtain the education they seek, with far less obstacles than they may face otherwise.
