Vacation

I am leaving in the morning for a week long vacation. I cannot put into words how much I NEED this vacation.

While I'll miss my kids and dogs, I can't wait to be alone with my husband. This trip affords us the opportunity to spend time alone. Absent home, bills, work, kids, dogs, distraction. Something we have not done since late 1998. We've gone away for a weekend here and there, but since our youngest was born, we have not left for any length of time without the kids.

I am almost excited.

I'll be excited when we're on the road I think. Because by then, the packing will be done, the kids will be dropped off, the dogs will be with their uncle, and I can finally relax.
